Through the design of the Elite roller it is possible to repair most Elite rollers used on the mine.
Repairing a roller is a big cost saving feature for the mine where an average of 40% of the roller budget can be saved.*
Repairing the roller is a simple procedure and consists of removing the worn polyurethane parts and replacing them with the new replacement parts. Thus it is important not to wear the roller down to the mechanical part.
To make use of the full advantage of the repair system it is advised to appoint a designated person to inspect the rollers which are fitted in the shaft. This person would be responsible to check the wear on the rollers and ensure that the rollers are in good running order and that there are no obstructions between the roller and the bracket.
Elite offers 2 options to have your rollers repaired:
1. Elite service – Collect and Deliver
Elite will collect a pre arranged number of rollers from your site on a repair waybill; elite will then furnish the mine with a strip and quote to repair the rollers. The rollers will only be repaired and delivered once the order has been received.
2. On Site repair center
Elite will set the mine up with a repair centre on site which will include the following:
- Repair centre – 2 options available
o Mechanical repair machine (low volume)
o Hydraulic repair machine (high volume)
- All tools for the repairs.
- Training of 2 responsible persons in the identification of the worn rollers.
- Training of 2 responsible people in charge of the repairs.
- Laminated instructions and procedures
- Laminated Parts Lists
For option 2 the mine will enter into agreement with Elite Mining agreeing that all spare parts are to be purchased from Elite Mining (Pty) Ltd.
Please feel free to contact Elite for a demonstration of the repair machine.
